Pyramid Productions

Just a quick update on what's going on over at PrimeGrid - as of a couple of days ago I have built a Mac CUDA application for the AP26 search, so you can now search for primes using your GPU as well as CPU. I'm currently working on SSE accelerated versions of the CPU apps, which should give a significant speed boost, and will be available soon...

I tried to run Myst III Exile on my new Intel MacBook Pro the other day and found that the video and audio were horribly choppy. I've put together a launcher app that solves this problem, so the game is still as playable as it was when it came out in 2001. Click here for more details and to download.

I've also managed to get Riven running using RivenX as well as Myst V. I'll put together a page with some tips and tricks for installing soon...

Have fun Myst-ing!

Recently I've been working on something a little different - porting the apps used by the PrimeGrid project to the Mac. PrimeGrid is a BOINC project which uses the idle cycles of your CPU to search for large prime numbers!

If you want to give it a go, visit the PrimeGrid website and follow the simple instructions to download and install the software. Currently there are applications available for PPC (OS 10.3+), Intel (OS 10.4+) and 64 bit Intel (10.5+) Macs.

Since udevGames 2008 is now completed, you can download FIDRIS directly from this website. There is still more I'd like to do with it, so if you have any comments please get in touch.

After 3 months of madness, my uDevGames 2008 entry 'FIDRIS' is finally complete and submitted for voting. Please visit uDevGames to download and vote for it.
